This project will conduct a series of intensive workshops and legal clinics in various localities of Lucknow, focusing on women's legal rights and the prevention of gender-based violence (GBV). The workshops will cover topics such as domestic violence laws, property rights, inheritance rights, marriage and divorce laws, and reporting mechanisms for sexual harassment and other forms of abuse. We will collaborate with local legal aid organizations and women's helplines to provide on-site legal counseling and support. The project will also train community-based women volunteers to act as first responders and information dissemination points, creating a strong local support network for survivors of violence. Awareness campaigns using street plays, posters, and community meetings will complement the workshops to challenge patriarchal norms and encourage bystander intervention.
