Healthy Strays, Healthy Communities

This critical project addresses the root cause of street animal overpopulation and disease transmission through humane Animal Birth Control (ABC) and mass vaccination programs, particularly against rabies. Working in collaboration with local veterinarians and community volunteers, we will conduct regular sterilization camps in identified high-density areas. Animals will be humanely caught, sterilized, vaccinated, ear-notched (for identification), and then released back into their familiar territories. This systematic approach will help stabilize street animal populations over time, reduce instances of aggression, and significantly curb the spread of zoonotic diseases like rabies, benefiting both animals and human communities.
