Green Cover Revival

This project focuses on combating deforestation and enhancing local biodiversity through large-scale tree plantation drives and the creation of community-managed forest patches. We will identify degraded land parcels (e.g., common lands, school grounds, riverbanks) and engage local residents in planting native tree species suitable for the region's climate and soil. The project will also emphasize the importance of maintaining these newly planted areas, providing training on sapling care, protection from grazing, and the long-term benefits of a healthy ecosystem. Special attention will be given to planting species that support local wildlife and provide economic benefits (e.g., fruit trees, medicinal plants) to ensure community buy-in and sustainability.
