Water Wisdom
This project aims to enhance water security and promote sustainable water resource management in water-stressed rural communities. We will focus on two key strategies: the revival and rejuvenation of traditional water bodies (e.g., village ponds, wells) through desilting and restoration efforts, and the promotion of rainwater harvesting systems. Workshops will be conducted to educate communities on efficient water use in agriculture and daily life. For rainwater harvesting, we will provide technical guidance and support for constructing small-scale systems at household or community levels (e.g., rooftop rainwater harvesting, check dams). The project seeks to replenish groundwater levels, provide access to clean water, and build community resilience against water scarcity.
